My name is Blayne Knox and I’m a studio potter that has my roots in South Africa, but have studied ceramics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Eeklo Belgium. I am a pupil of Ann Mortier a renowned Belgian ceramic artist and teacher. Having a technical background, I have been lucky enough to be able to build and construct almost every piece of equipment needed to make these ceramic works.  After exploring many different methods of ceramics, I hope to pass on ideas and inspiration to others through this site and workshops.  All turned pieces are turned on a kick wheel and are mainly baked in gas ovens. I am a member of Cuesta which is a ceramics group that works out of an old farm house in Drongengoedhoeve Knesselaare in Belgium. 1. Thanks Bart for the nice words. I did look at your site and was very impressed with your artistic eye for the perfect line, and shape of your forms and the shadows they create. Nice work!
Hope we can meet again someday when we have more time to chat about ceramics.
